Adelaide!

The City of Churches -but i've only noticed one so far! Adelaide has been nice, a bit like a small Melbourne in a lot of ways with parks around the perimeter, the river and a grid system etc..
Driving into the city itself was a bit hectic in the traffic when you're not sure where you're going! We made it however and once unpacked had a swim to unwind -well, i was unwinding anyway! A nice caravan park but we're waking to traffic noises instead of birds! There's still a lot of greenery though, and the facilities are good.
First day we drove to Glenelg and caught a tram into the city. We had lunch at Rundle Mall then walked to the museum where we most enjoyed the Mawson exhibition and also looking at all the gems and meterorites. Then we wandered to the Botanical Gardens which were lovely. Wil had bought a book on bird identification at the museum and spent the rest of the day reading it and identifying birds! He loves it. Harry bought a book on how to draw native animals and is enjoying sketching them.
By now after afternoon tea at the National Wine Centre attached to the gardens it was early evening and we walked up Rundle street poking around in interesting shops on our way back to the tram.
Today we checked out Hahndorf, a little german town in the hills which was quite nice, especially as it was a lovely sunny day. Tomorrow is a rest day before we start making our way up the Centre!
ps-as you can see from one of the photos, theres been lots of jumping pillow action! -Harry can now do a front flip and Wil can do a back flip then straight into a front flip!!
